We started our second year, back in September, with a group project entitled 'Trend'. The brief was set by forecasting company, 'Studio m' and asked us to predict 4 future fashion trends based on looking at what was happening around us. Taking into consideration current and future exhibitions, music and general fashions. Basically, a great excuse to get out and culturalize ourselves in the name of research. We were put into mixed groups and I was in group 8, along with 6 other fashionistas, some of which I didn't really know before. The project tested our ability to work as a team and look at other aspects of the fashion business besides design. The trends we came up with were, 'The Great Escape', 'Culture Clash', 'Be Your Own Idol' and 'Pickled Pink'. For assessment, we had to present our predicted trends and to reflect the current trend for viewing everything online, we set up a website. www.group8forecasting.info
